Tui Glen School, established in 1956, is a vibrant, state-funded full primary school that welcomes students from Year 1 through to Year 8. Proudly multicultural, our kura sits at the heart of Stokes Valley, Lower Hutt, and serves families from across Stokes Valley, Upper Hutt, Taita, Pomare, and Naenae.
We currently operate eight classrooms, organised into two syndicates - junior and senior - across three main blocks. Our library is a much-loved hub of learning and exploration for all ākonga.
At Tui Glen, we pride ourselves on high-quality teaching and embedding our school values into everything we do. Strong relationships with whānau and the wider community are at the heart of our approach, ensuring that every child feels supported, connected, and able to thrive.
Our school grounds are spacious and engaging, featuring a large sports field, a well-used basketball court, bike track, and three playgrounds that encourage active play and teamwork. Learning takes place in single-cell classrooms and a modern open-plan classroom in our intermediate space. We also have a large hall that supports a wide range of learning and community activities.
Tui Glen School is well used by local families and community groups, with our grounds, gardens, hall, and play areas providing a shared space for learning, enjoyment, and connection.
